Experience recently problems with long family filenames when using drag`n drop to a CD, especially with persons where there is not only one middle name but 2 or 3 or 4 or even more.
Suggest to use only LN and FN for these files plus IDs.

I know that this can be customized.

Open the config.xml file of the report (need to create a custom report)

Find those line:

 <Report Template="individual.htm" OutputFile="{Name.LastOrLast2:25}-{Name.FirstAndMiddle:35}-{id}.htm" For="Individuals" LoopItemName="i" />
 <Report Template="family.htm" OutputFile="family-{Name:70}-{id}.htm" For="Families" LoopItemName="f" />

You can either remove the name or reduce the max length... family-{Name:30}-{id}.htm

would be acceptable.

I will pass the word to change the default value for something smaller.
