Version 2 of Genopro generates identifiers such as ind0001 fam1234 for
individuals and families, Version 1 used uppercase versions of the above
- IND0001, FAM1234 etc.

Is it possible to control this behaviour, When I generate gedcom files
from .gno's started in version 1 and now using version 2 I end up with a
mix of identifier cases which presents problems with another program (PGV).

I realise I could change all identifiers to uppercase in the table view
but would need to manually change every newly added individual and
lowercase ids don't work properly in PGV (yes - I know I'll raise a bug
report there also).

If you did not use these IDs on purpose before, i is better to remove all (table layout on individuals, remove the ID column, same for families), then GenoPro will regenerate the IDs for you.

If you wish to change the case of the IDs, you can copy the column from the Table Layout into a spreadsheet, change the case, copy from the spreadsheet and paste back to GenoPro.  Eventually GenoPro will offer more options for transforming text in the Table Layout.

Both the above ideas are useful - Thank you. Actually I don't need the spreadsheet approach as a simple replace "ind" with "IND" works fine. The problem is I have to do this every time I add someone and export a new gedcom.

Thinking further about it although I would like to be able to define the default used by genopro it's only when exporting to gedcom that it's an issue, perhaps a tweak to the gedcom report writer to change lowercase IDs to uppercase (or vice versa) is all that's needed.

I'll certainly try regenerating all the IDs as there is a real mixture of 4 digit and 8 digit ones with all sorts of in-betweens.
