In the Display tab, you can choose to put a border around an individual.

thx, but that's not what I mean...

I need to be able to draw a circle for example around 3 persons, so that it becomes clear that they are living in one system...

For example, you have three children from the same parents, parents are divorced, two of them are living with the mother, the other one lives with the father. I 'd like to draw a circle around the mother and her two children, and the same for the father...

You can use the "New closed figure" button to do what you have described. You can move the lines to any position you want. Its the 3rd tool button from the right in the standard tool bar.

This form is not a circle, but I prefer it because you can manipulate it better than a fix form...

Have you tried it?

EvE ,

Can I suggest that you just use a different colour for each family group? The facility is already there and moves with the rearrangement of the Genomap.

Yes, I did, and it works, but I prefer the form of a circle...

I use this program for professional reasons, that is, (system)therapy with children and parents (special youthcare), and here in Belgium, professionals mostly use a circle to define a 'system'..., but ok, a form like this 'll do the trick...
