Help again please. Updated to 2.0.1.6 and when I generate a report I have no thumbnail images. If I click on the image it apears in all it's glory. reading another thread i installed Infanview and Inkscape, although not sure what happens here. running on Opera and IE. Thumbnails option set to yes.
Off the subject someone has done a Slovak translation. Ho do I use this as My son-in-law is Slovak and i would like to let him see my genopro in his native language.

If you regenerate the report after installing IrfanView then thumbnails should be fine. See post http://support.genopro.com/FindPost22957.aspx for further information. Also post http://support.genopro.com/FindPost22995.aspx for the latest revision of this report.

Please note that GenoPro reports are untested and unsupported on Opera. Only IE 6/7 and Firefox 2/3 are supported.

For your Slovak translation, see this posting http://support.genopro.com/FindPost22950.aspx.

1) create a new skin based on one of your skin or from the native 'English Narrative Report {EN}'.
2) copy the Slovak Dictionary.xml file in it, from the above posting.
3) in config.xml, change the <Skin ...> tag
- 'Name' to 'Slovak Narrative Report' or whatever you like
- 'Language' to 'SK'

and you should be able to run a Slovak report.
If you get any generation error(s) it may be because the Dictionary.xml file is not fully compatible with the Genopro revision you're using!

Hi Ron,
No success so far. Have installed 2.0.1.7RC1 and used when generating my report. Have set IE as default browser. I can see the thumbs being generated. Have also created a new destenation folder for the report. When I right click on the red cross and select show picture nothing appears. There are two errors when generating my report it appears that it can't find a jpg image, I don't suppose this could cause my problem?
PS not sure if I posted up my new web address: www.hughesdna.com

Regards David

Smart site David!

Obviously a thumbnail will not be available for this jpg where GenoPro no longer has the correct path for the picture but others should be there. Have you checked the contents of the thumbnails folder below the report's destination folder?

I marvel at the workings of a wheel burrow. Not really sure what has happened here. I usually generate my reports into a folder in My doc's named 'autorun' (a small autorun script here that will automatically open the file when burned onto a CD). In here I could see the thumbnail folder packed full of wee pictures. Any additions I carry out in Genopro I save to this autorun folder. It therefore contains my pictures folder.
I then created a 'new folder' and generated a report to it. i then copied my pictures folder into this file. I regenerated the report using the \Customized English Narrative Report\* (English Narrative Report) {EN} and wallah!! my thumbs are back. I then tried the two later updates 2.0.16/17 and was unable to get any thumbs when the report was generated. I then went back to my original autorun folder and generated another report over the existing one, the thumbs now appear.????? Sorted. I can now create some CD's to send to my family.
Will now look at my Slovak report.

Hi JC
Does this mean anything?
Generating report to 'C:\Documents and Settings\david hughes\My Documents\eagle\'
Cloning document FamilyTree...
Opening configuration file Config.xml for skin '\Customized Slovak Narrative Report\* (Slovak Narrative Report)'...
Validating picture cache...
Loading Dictionary.xml...
[0.00] Processing template 'init.htm'...
Error at line 177, position 2 (init.htm): Type mismatch: 'oDicCache.Add'
Microsoft VBScript runtime error 800A000D

Is revision = version. using 2.0.1.6?

Hi,

I don't know anything about this error but I quickly checked the Slovak Dic (the one in post 22950) with the latest EN Dic, with my Utility Compare Program, and I can tell that the Slovak Dic is far from being up-to-date. There are numerous missing tags.

So before you can hope to issue a proper report, without errors, a Slovak speaker will have to check and consolidate the Slovak Dic.
