In the past I published my family tree report on line and with each individual report any pictures attached were displayed and it would show a slide show.  Now the pictures do not display initially, just a box where the picture should be with a red x at the top left corner of the box.  If you click on the x a new window opens displaying the picture in a very large format that will not even display an entire face on the screen at once.  You need to scroll down and right to see the whole picture.  Any suggestions on how to get back to the original display?

This has previously been noted - see http://support.genopro.com/FindPost24622.aspx and may be because you are not using the latest version of GenoPro and the Narrative Report, according to the information shown under your name.

When I click on the "check for updates" button it says that I have 2.0.1. 6 and that it is the latest update.  I see where you point out that it says I have .5 but I do not know why it does not recognize that as not being the latest unless .6 is only for some operating systems.  I am using Windows XP Professional.

You also need to update your version of the English Narrative Report from http://support.genopro.com/FindPost23308.aspx which should correct your picture problems.

You said that I need to update my English Narrative Report.  I have no idea what it is or how to do it.  You listed a site to do it from but I see no mention of a Eng Nar Report on it.

Thanks for the help.

Follow the link that Howard gave you in the previous post. The first listing here contains links to zip files containing the latest update of the Report skin. Unzip these into a skin folder under GenoPro in the Program Files folder. If you have problems doing that, ask again

Can you please publish your report to http://familytrees.genopro.com and I will take a look at the problem (I need to see a sample report to find out what is going on).

You may set a password on your publication, so you have control on who may see your HTML report online.

This is a known problem with a published solution and so no further diagnosis should be required.

The full solution is to install the latest English Narrative Report skin following the instructions in the link given by Howard53.

The problem occurs because of an oversight on my part with the original report skin embedded in GenoPro 2.0.1.6 in that references to pictures are incorrect when thumbnail images are not used. A partial solution is to install the brilliant freeware product IrfanView (find via Google) on your system and regenerate the report and then thumbnail images will be correctly created. However with this latter solution you will not get the benefit of further bug fixes in the Report skin.
