Hi all,I'm pretty new to this so be gentle please ! I have just started creating a reasonably detailed tree with lots of photos that link into multiple people. It takes a fair amount of time to link each person to the photos they are in and I started wondering if all the work would be wasted if I changed computers one day or upgraded to a better software package etc. I think you can export the genopro file with all the relationships and individual's details but is there anyway to be able to export the actual pictures with the file rather than relying on just paths to folders (which presumably if you change the path you need to re-enter the new path for each picture)

I have been reducing all the pictures down to a resolution that can be uploaded to the internet so the file sizes wouldn't be ridiculous. Hope it's not a stupid question, any suggestions very welcome,

Thanks

Andy

My recommendation is to put all your pictures in a sub-folder of your family tree.  When you copy your family tree to a USB memory key or to another computer, you simply copy the .gno (GenoPro file) along with the folder.  No need to do anything else, everything will work as before.

Thanks, I'll give that a go.

Cheers, Andy
