I have sisters that were married to the same man...he married the first sister and had children but this sister died so married the second sister and had more children!
Sister 1 m: Man 1 and has 4 children (sister 1 dies) Sister 2 m: Man 1 and has 5 children. How on earth do i create these families?

Create the sisters family Add husband Right click husband and link as mate to first wife Repeat for second wife. At first the two lines will be continuous, so select line of second marriage and drag down. Add children by selecting wife and add Sons (S) or daughters (D)

Thanks...looks a bit strange as it's not easy to see who she's married to straight off as there are other brothers and sisters between the two sisters this bloke married...need to make this marriage line stand out in some way!

Its not really that difficult.
1) Create the first marriage.
2) Create a hyper-link of the sister(to be married)
3) highlight the husband and the hyper-linked sister and click (Ctrl+m)
This way you can have others sisters and brothers have their families without crossing lines.
Even if the lines are on the same level, the lines will not look the same, since the marriage line of the first marriage will have a different look(widowed, divorced, etc).

It all depends on how you want to show things. I use vertical position on a display to show date - approximately to scale. You can then drag the symbols around to make things clear. One option is to create the sisters family and then move to another GenoMap and create the husband. Back to the sister and right click and Move to the husband GenoMap and link as mate. This separates this part but leaves the original family linked but separated. It does not display the reltionship of grandparent/grandchildren directly although the Report will show a link. You can 'cheat' slightly and add the grandparents to the second display but it is not absolutely staightforward.

Thanks guys, have got it all added ok, it was just with all the other siblings (plus their spouses and children) in between the two sisters it was looking a little confusing with all the black lines so added text to the second marriage line and changed the text colour to make it stand out...it'll just help remind me when i look at in time to come.
