Hello,
Is there a way to make the
narrative report
use the
display name
and not the full name?
If not, is there a way to change in the
genomap
so that all the full names will be identical to the display names?

There are at least three answers to this, depending on how you want to play it.
1. To substitute the Display Name for the Full Name just in the Report, use the Configuration Parameters Dialogue and open the Name Settings section, then change the first field from the default
Name
to
Name.Display
and click OK.
2. To ensure Display Name is the same as the Full Name for all NEW individuals, right click on a blank area of a genomap and click Properties.., then the Automatic / Default tab. Under Name Format, set the Full Name
template
to be the same as Display Name template.
3. To make the Full Name the same as Display Name for existing individuals in your gno file, open Individuals in
Table Layout
View and laboriously change each one!

If you have not found the configuration panel it is accessed from the
Options
tab of the
report generator
. Make sure that the top left box is not checked. Is that what you are asking?
