Dear Forum Users,
5
years
ago, when I was a foreign exchange
student
, I made my own
genogram
on a PC in Istanbul - but that time I was using already my
mac
.
Soon after that I had an almost total computer crash - what was left was a .gpro data file
package
and I am right now totally lost how to open this package again. I think I was using your program (genopro) pack than, but I am not completely sure. Is their any possibility that I can open such a package with a
newer version
of genopro? Or is it impossible that i constructed this data file package with your program? Do you know with which program I could have done the genogram back than saving it as a .gpro data file.
One of my
family members
passed away this year and I cannot ask him for
informations
again. That`s the reason why I am now desperately looking for a way to open this file.
Thank you so much in advance for your
help
,
greeting from Germany
Anke

GenoPro never create nor read .gpro files... not sure what software created them.
GenoPro read .gno (native) some .xml (created by GenoPro or other tools) and .
ged
(Gedcom)

The clue is that you were using a Mac. Seems to cost $20 and will create a gedcom file containing all your basic information. You could then import this into GenoPro
