help
eliminate some confusion with step children who may become
adopted
, I always list the child and their complete "
born
" name with the
auto
pedigree
link
under the Mate (a previous
marriage
or later marriage). If that child is later adopted then I just add in the
second last name
their new Adopted last (name). This may not work in some cases, but here in the U.S. most people understand the two last name relationships shown on a chart. This also allows to use the adopted link for those adopted from outside the closed
family relationship
.
