I have a genogram with 53 people in it and I need to print it.  When I try to print it the writing comes out unreadable and it prints 200 pages.  I have tried to change the number of pages it prints but it doesn't help the legiblity.  I think that it is printing all of the blank spaces that are highlighted in blue when I show a page layout.   How do I get it jsut to print the pages with writing and make them large enough to read?

Have you used the Page layout menu to set the number of pages to print? 53 people should fit on one page. You might need to change from portrait to landscape (check the box for landscape)

Hi,

Does your tree occupy most of the area which is highlighted in blue when you show a page layout; or is your tree squeezed into just a small part of the area which is highlighted in blue.

If your tree is squeezed into just a small part, it is likely that you have a stray item (or possibly more than one)  in your genomap, which is/are a long way from the main part of your tree diagram, and GenoPro is scaling your diagram to include the stray data in the printing.



You could try to find and move / remove the stray items (but this can be difficult if it is only a short piece of line);
Or you could select just your wanted data by dragging a select rectangle around it; and then copy your data to a new (blank) genomap.


When you go to print the new genomap. your tree should now fill most of the area which is highlighted in blue when you show a page layout.

At this stage, you may like to make minor adjustments to your tree diagram, to better fit the page layout,
(If you have only one item near an edge, moving it inwards will allow the blue select area to shrink,which will enlarge the relative scale of your tree on the page)
