Hi,
many years ago, I purchased a GenoPro license which was supposed to be eternal. I've just come back to the site to see that there's now something called GenoProX which has collaboration tools, which would be potentially interesting. I'm not clear on how the subscription model works. Is it $2/month for access to the new features or is it a completely new software package? If the latter, does this mean that my GenoPro becomes obsolete or do I still use GenoPro to edit and share in GenoProX? Thanks for any clarification. Tony

Just be aware that GenoProX is a proposed new product that does not as yet exist that is extremely late in its expected delivery date. It could therefore be presently described as 'vapourware'. Although its author appears committed to its eventual release it has been some 5+? years in development with no beta release other than an early alpha 'proof of concept'. It will not 'replace' GenoPro, although GenoPro maintenance may cease once/if it is released. Purchasing GenoPro 2018+ gives access to GenoProX if/when it appears.
Since you appear to be already using GenoPro 2020, you will automatically have access to GenoProX.

GenoProX is a completely different product not yet available. We are working full time on it. Many technical difficulties with the Collaboration Module.

Many years ago, I purchased a GenoPro license that was supposed to be perpetual. I’ve recently revisited the website and noticed a new offering called GenoProX, which includes collaboration features that seem quite interesting. However, I’m a bit unclear about how the subscription model works. Is the $2/month fee simply for access to these new features, or is GenoProX an entirely separate software package? If it’s the latter, does that mean my original GenoPro software is now obsolete? Or do I continue using GenoPro alongside GenoProX for editing and sharing? I’d appreciate any clarification.

GenoProX development started more than 10 years ago, the last meaningful progress report was about 7 years ago (despite numerous requests for status updates) and the developer hasn't bothered even logging into this forum for 2 months now. I think that tells you a lot about where things stand. The description of "vapourware" is spot on!
So just continue using GenoPro as it stands and if by some miracle GenoProX does appear, consider it a bonus.
