I love your product, it is quite powerful and the report generator is awesome.

I read through the posts, but don't quite see if there is a solution to my question, so I will ask at the risk of being redundent.

For divorced or never married relationships, is there a way to modify or change the description "A had a wife/partner named B and had three children", to something less terminal sounds, "like A and B were married and had three children", or possibly just "A and B had three children".  Can the user change the description printed for each relationship type?  If so how?

Yes, there is a way to change the way the report prints out the sentences.  You can change it in the Lang.vbs (look for WriteHtmlFamily).

Since I am new, here is a question just to get me on the right track.

I looked through the lang.vbs as you suggested, and also I looked at the dictionary.xml.  I made a small change in the lang.vbs to the WriteFamilyHTML, saved it and regenerated the report.  The change was not reflected.  Is the GenPro environment setup to use the lang.vbs file as a run time compile?  Or are there others steps involved to get the .vbs to compile and use the changed settings made in the lang.vbs or other files for instance, what about any changes that are made the dictionary.xml file?

Your help is appreciated.  Smile

There is no compiled code with the report generator.  Make sure the Generate Report dialog is using skin you modified and the output folder.  It should work.

Just a reminder:

When you installed the software the 1st time, a skinfolder was created with the skin as proposed by GenoPro. Copy the content of this folder into a new folder, since during the next update the original will be overwritten and your work will be lost.
Now go to the copied folder and make your changes. Give the folder a new name to make the selection clear. When making a new report, make sure you have selected the new skin in the report dialog box.
