Any idea what is wrong with the tree below?

Petrus Jacobus Van Damme (the problem source) is at the top of this tree. How can he be a child?
When I hover over the family symbol at the right hand side, the names of the parents of Petrus Bernardus Beyen (the hyperlinked child) appear. These parents are mentioned on another GenoMap. When I click on the family symbol, a switch is made to the other map where the family link between Petrus Bernardus Beyen and his parents is selected. (Don't know if this is clear.)

Right click on the pedigree link of Petrus, and you are likely to find as Link as Biological Child rather than Link as Parent.

I read "Parent".
What really puzzles me is why, when I click on the right-hand symbol, the names of the parents of the hyperlinked individual (Petrus Bernardus Beyen) are displayed.

I have exactly the same problem - I've checked that all the pedigree links are correct. Is the problem related to the fact that the individual is hyperlinked to the parents?

No, the problem is signalled for an individual that has no parents. So how can he be referred to as "child"?
And somehow the error is linked to the parents of a hyperlinked individual that is the son in law of the individual for which the problem is signalled (hope you can still follow).

Yes, I understand - I was confused by the many Petrus.
However, I solved my problem. I deleted the (in my case hyperlinked) individual indicated, and immediately the Spotter changed to specify a duplicate pedigree link in the previously hyperlinked individual. As soon as the first (visible) one was deleted the error disappeared from the Spotter. It may be that the Spotter is confused by duplicate links - as these are superimposed on each other, they are not immediately obvious to the eye.

It is possible an individual is a 'child' of a family (the horizontal line) however the family does not have an parents. In GenoPro, a family is the horizontal line and individuals are linked to the family as parents or children (biological, adopted, foster)

I fixed it in version 2.9.0.6. This was much harder than I thought, as I worked the whole day on it, as the problem was much deeper: an hyperlinked individual was displayed in one GenoMap while his family was in another GenoMap, thus making the pedigree link invisible. I have no idea how this came about, but one thing I know is the hyperlink of GenoPro has been a hack: creating two individuals where one refers to the other. Almost all the challenges I got with the Problem Spotter have been related to the hyperlink havoc because the Problem Spotter sees them as two individuals. (In GenoProX this is solved by having 'individual data' and 'individual view', thus there are no duplicate data).
I added a new column to fix this problem, because I think there is no way to fix it outside of the Problem Spotter. Once you click on the icon, GenoPro will create an hyperlink of the individual and place him at the bottom right of the family. You will have to manually move the individual so your family tree looks good. I tried several GUI options, but somehow there is a 'mouse capture' change which makes it very hard to do, so I decided to have a quick fix.

In order to clarify the situation I further reduced the trees and renamed "Petrus Bernardus" into "Bernardus" to simplify. I also put the two trees together on the same map to show the correct relations. See below.

When I was trying to do this, I got following intermediate result

This now clearly shows the link. Hence, the problem spotter was right.
But I have no idea how this came to be in the first place.

I found that the easiest way to fix this, without using the problem spotter, is as follows:- double click on the family link of the presumed parents
- you will notice and extra child in the list, not visible in the tree containing the parents (why did I not think about doing this in the first place?)
- delete this child, which will remove it from the related tree (in my case on another GenoMap)
- recreate the individual in the related tree
If you have to delete an individual with lots of data, best make a copy of the individual to another GenoGram first.
(I have GenoPro 2016 running on one system, 2011 on another. So I needed a way to fix this manually in 2011.)
