The last para. of svghelp.htm titled Alternative Navigation says basically: to right-click the tree image and click the "help" context menu.

I clicked on help but I got no response. Thank you.

I removed the paragraph.  By the way, this Help menu item is from Adobe and GenoPro has no control over it.

Perhaps my text is unclear but you should right click anywhere over the family tree diagram, i.e. the SVG image, not the little tree  icon. If you are using Adobe SVG Viewer you will then see Adobe's context menu with the Help entry.

On my machine, when I right-click on Adobe SVG Viewer, and pick the context menu item Help, I get nothing at all.  It appear the Adobe SVG Help is missing.  I am running IE 6.0 with SVG Viewer 3.03, Build 94.

I am running IE 6.0 with SVG Viewer 3.03, Build 94.

There is a later version of the SVG viewer (6.0 preview1) here. With this installed on my machine the help menu works OK.

Hi. I followed your link and installed the beta. You're right, It works. Right-clicking the help context menu brings the Adobe help file/window but only when I started default.html from my hard disc.

Right-clicking the same help menu from the same report but this time from my web site still doesn't bring up the help file. I even tried to copy the Adobe SVGHelp.html located in my c:\program files\common files\adobe\svg viewer 6.0 dir and NPSVG6.dll located in the plugins dir to everyone of my web site directories. Still nothing.

I'd like to know if I am the only one with this problem? Thanks

Is the SVG Viewer is "supplied" with GenoPro Beta or anyone should download it by himself?

The Adobe SVG Viewer 3.03 should be downloaded from http://www.adobe.com/svg/viewer/install/main.html. Alternatively the 6.0 Beta from http://www.adobe.com/svg/viewer/install/beta.html but this is not necessary to view the GenoPro reports.

The problem seeing the Adobe Help file appears to occur only when viewing SVG images from a Web Server. I assume it is deemed a security issue when a web page tries to access a page on your local disc. I believe the Adobe context Menu can be customised so maybe I can change it to point to a copy of the file in the report folder. This will then get moved with the rest of the report when publishing to the Web.

Yes, you're right - I misunderstood the situation. I also cannot view the help file when viewing a tree on the web.

However, I have found a problem on the http://familytrees.genopro.com/ site. When I try to view a SVG the frame opens, but then stops at about 62% or 63% open, and the actual graphic never appears. This appears to be only a problem on the GenoPro site. If I go to iaintait's site http://www.beath.net/ the SVG opens OK.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Can you give the full URL?  Are you talking about IainTait's family tree (http://familytrees.genopro.com/iaintait/).  On my machine, my browser can display the SVG file without any problem.
