Ron,

It works, although only with 2.0.1.2, so I migrated to the latest version. On the old version I had an error about array index out of bounds on line 45 of util.vbs, which refers to the config array....

rgds,

Ronald

Sorry Ronald, I had overlooked this until prompted by your post on probable child. Any adopted or fostered child was not being shown in the tiemline of their birth paraents. I believe the attached Code\Util.vbs file used in a custom skin will fix it.

Ron,

I just found that this is not yet full fixed. For the natural father, the child that was fostered doesn't show up in the timeline....

Any chance of fixing that?

PS. I am using version 2.0.1.1

THanks in advance,

rgds,

Ronald

The fix to the Narrative Report I have applied in the custom skin attached to the post here together within GenoPro 2.0.1.0b  now works for me Smile

I have not corrected anything in the report.  All I did was to fix the foster child with internal hyperlinks.

I find that with this fix GenoPro now displays the correct information so thanks for that Dan. I still however need to correct the Report.

I do not see a difference. Also, the version number doesn't change!

If you download http://www.genopro.com/download/InstallGenoPro.2.0.1.0b.exe, you should get the fix.  I also corrected 'Is Adopted' to 'Is Adopted or Fostered' with the description of 'Was the child adopted or placed in a foster home?'.  If there is no problem with this fix, I will include the code in the master download.

There does seem to be a bug in GenoPro when handling pedigree links from hyperlinked individuals. A foster link from a hyperlink is indicated incorrectly as not being adopted whereas a similar link to a non-hyperlinked individual is shown as being adopted (see diagram below).

Also if the hyperlinked child is deleted (grandson2 under son1) then the foster link is lost, when it should get transfered to the remaining 'real' individual (grandson2 under son2), since deleting hyperlinks should not cause loss of relationships.

By the way, 'Is Adopted' should be 'Is Adopted or Fostered', but that is not the issue here.
