I received an email for an update to GenoPro.

According to my notes, I purchased vers 1.99c on 08/06/2006 and the activation key did not work.

On 05/21/2007, I tried again with another activation key with no success. My request for support (via email) was never answered though I did send under both my registered email account (goldp@digging4roots.com) and my regular email account (fun@digging4roots.com).

Having never successfully installed the software nor having ever gotten it to work, I'm not exactly certain what I'm doing here except that I've been long unhappy with FTM and would still like to leave it far, far, far behind.

I have looked through my old files and can not find any record of my purchase, other than the notes I had made in my old Palm T|X PDA.

Is this enough information to get a new copy and activation code and try one last time to get the software I paid for working on my computer?

Thank you,
Jeanne Gold

Can you try downloading and installing http://www.genopro.com/InstallGenoPro.exe ?  I searched the entire database of our 750,000 subscribers and there is no registration key purchased under your name or your email address.  Maybe you purchased GenoPro with a different email.

First, we recommend everyone to try GenoPro before purchasing it.  If you are not able to install GenoPro, then you should not purchase it.  There are many reasons why you may be unable to install GenoPro on your computer, such as not having administrator privilege to install any software, your antivirus is blocking the installation, or you are trying to install on a Mac or Linux.

According to our records, you purchased GenoPro less than 24 hours ago and you wrote this post two hours ago complaining about bad customer support without notifying us about the issue.  Before calling us scammers, you could have written a private message about the issue.  Regarding the installation of GenoPro, we have records you successfully installed GenoPro in 2015 on Windows XP while being a student at Hunter College.  We also have on records you requested, received and opened the email containing your registration key from Astoria, NJ, and the next day used your key to attempt to send your family tree to someone else.  Perhaps you could have posted your message in a different thread than this one which is about "never being able able to get software running on my computer".

I have no idea what temper you are, however I can tell you are not ready for the real world.  Sooner or later you will discover you are not the center of the universe.
