I uploaded a family tree to your servers a few years ago and I cannot find a way to delete it.How can I delete it? I do not have the app installed since I'm running Macintosh and I do not have any computer with Windows. Thanks!

You can delete the file using this frum. Click on My Profile on this page and on the next page find the GenoPro icon and click there. Scroll down to Online Publications and open that topic where there is the option to delete a file. Note that it can take a week or so to disappear from search engines who hold things in cache.

I don't see anything under GenoPro to delete? I'm brand new today and didn't realize I couldn't password the information until I purchase. I'm still testing and not sure I will purchase. I want to delete what is uploaded?

Where have you put your data? If you have just written a report on your PC then you can just delete it. If it is on a network you also can remove it. I do not know if you can load onto Genopro server if you are not a customer but if so the GenoProFtpClient would give you access. You can also access online files from within GenoPro from the file menu or press Ctrl+Shift+O

Both you, Kevin and Castresana, do not have any online publications. According to our records, you have published to http://familytrees.genopro.com, however you have deleted your publications.

Andrew, according to our records, there is no family tree under your GenoPro account.

Andrew I sympathize with you having wrong family details online but asking the site owner to intervene should be the last resort. Internet censorship is a tricky problem. It would be much better if you could contact the tree owner to resolve things. Points you could raise are:-
1 It is not good etiquette to publish information about living people without their permission.
2 Depending on location it could be illegal. In the UK it is illegal to store such personal information on a computer without the permission of the owner. I must confess that in many cases I have data on my PC without express permission. However I do not publish this on a public site. I am not sure what the position is with Canadian law but the site owner needs to be kept out of this.
3 GenoPro has a facility to publish password protected family trees and only invited viewers can see this. A version with living people removed can also be on the same site.
Your point about not wanting information about the family published is a frequent comment. The problem here is that facts are facts and many are available elsewhere on the internet. People may not want information about divorce or birth out of wedlock published. In my own family the latter event happened 4 centuries ago and she appears to have been a feisty lady from what I can glean. More relevant is that security questions are often based on family knowledge 'mother's maiden name - first school etc' so there is a strong reason to hide such details.
I hope this can be resolved; you may not want to contact the person directly but if they use this site they might see these comments and act
Best wishes
PS Have you tried making your own version of a family tree?

Can you please tell me where the family tree has been created? If the publication (family tree) is not on GenoPro.com, there is not much we can do.
