When I want to copy part of my tree to another GenoMap, I use hyperlinks for persons but there is no possibility to create a hyperlink for the family links (family, child and parents links).

There are some bad consequences:

- in case I modify the family link (for example the date of marriage of comments) I need to do the same on each GenoMap where is the family link present

- at the report I can see that the parents had First and Second (Third...) family which is not true! It is just a copy of the same family.

How to solve this? I think that Hyperlink for the family links can solve the problem. The report should to be modified too - the persons (and family links) are unique and in this case report should not list the hyperlink of the Family as a new family.

Something similar I suggested some time ago, but in a for of comparing a data in different trees of which one would be a master tree...

Definitely thing for post-2.0 because wish lists just keep expanding...

when you do the (Rons) generic report (only available at the moment) then it is just necessary to exclude all multiple instance of the object - simply the object should show in the report only once no matter how many hyperlinks there are - the relations should stay the same.

The report generator should abstract the hyperlink issue.  For instance, the collection Individuals contains all individuals without hyperlinks.  It is true Ron's original report was dealing with hyperlinks because GenoPro was not doing a proper job returning spouses and children.  With Beta14, this issue has been resolved.

I agree having hyperlinked families would be great, however this is a lot of work and will be a source of bugs.  The internal hyperlinks for individuals have been a source of bugs for several months.  In fact, I just discovered a new bug this weekend related to this.  Adding hyperlinks families will cause havoc to the existing code.

You are welcome to add your comments to the topic Internal Hyperlinked Families.

Solution:
One solution is to create a "dummy family" and mark it as a label / exclude from report.  This way, the dummy family will be visible however won't appear in the report.
