Just downloaded Beta 15b and was trying to create a report.
Received following message:

Processing template 'genomap.svg'...
Error at line 520 (genomap.svg) : Type mismatch: 'PointsArray'
Microsoft VBScript runtime error 800A000D

Anything I should have done in my files?

Are you using the built-in templates from Beta 15b or the report templates from Beta 15?  The coordinates have been simplified in Beta 15b, by removing the parentheses causing script parsing errors.  Also, all the y-coordinates have been negated to ease SVG generation.

Used the built-in templates from Beta 15b.

Once a report can be built, will move modified(new) files from the built-in template to my own skin folder.

Never modify the original template in the "English" skin folder.

It is working just great here using "English Narrative Report". Great upgrade for that report with the SVG!

Upgrading the function 'PointsArray' from the templates of Beta 15b to your own report will work.

Still have problems.

Received following message when trying to create a report with my German skin, using the program Beta 15b:

Error at line 166 (genomap.svg) : Object doesn't support this property or method: 'Report.BufferWriteToTextFile'
Microsoft VBScript runtime error 800A01B6

The same message comes when I use my Japanese skin with Beta 15b.

Need help!

The method BufferWriteToTextFile has been renamed to BufferWriteToFile because of serious behavior changes.  The old method was automatically flushing the buffer after writing to the file, however the new method does keep the data for gzip compression.  You need to manually flush the output buffer as the sample below:

Report.BufferWriteToFile "genomaps/" & strFileSvg   ' Write the content of the buffer to a file
Report.BufferWriteToFile "genomapsz/" & strFileSvg & "z","gzip" ' Write the content of the buffer to a file with gzip compression
Report.BufferLength = 0   ' Flush the buffer for the next SVG document

I think Ron renamed the function PointsArray to PointsToArray.

Function PointsToArray(points)
 PointsToArray=split(points,",")
End Function

Thanks,

Got reports with SVG generation working for Beta 15 and 15b, however my question is why it did not work in the first place in order to avoid the same situation when the next Beta comes. (???)
