I want to record the information from census records on which I find individuals.

Example : 1901 Census - RG13/752 Folio 9 Page 9 - Tonbridge, Tumbridge Wells - High St., Rusthall, Tunbridge Wells, Kent

What is the best way to enter and assign census information for an individual.

Is it better that it goes under the Contact tab or in the Source tab.  Or should it go in the Contact tab with reference to a Source.

Should I be using Place hierarchies ?

There are so many possibilities that I'm confused.  What would you suggest as the best way to go ?

Thanks

Howard

I'm also facing this task. My sources came through via a gedcom import and look OK from a spot check, but I'm pretty sure I'll end up having to massage the data this week, and I might decide to spend a bit of time and take advantage of GenoPro's features. It would be nice to see "best practice" recommendations, etc. TYI!

Not sure what best practice might be in this case. I define a Custom tag (called UK Census) containing currently 7 fields for each of the current UK censuses. Each field is identified as _1841, _1851 etc. I then record against relevant individuals the Piece number, Folio number, Schedule number and the full address. The page number in this context is less meaningful.
