I would love to be able to create my own templates for name display in the family tree. For example, I am currently building a complete family tree of all of the royal families of Europe (yes, I know it's going to be huge) and I'm using the Alternative Names field to show the kingdom or other realm where the ruler held power. However, I can't get the display format I want for the names, and I don't want to manually enter it for each individual. I would like it to show (for example) "King Richard III of England" ("King" is from the Title field, "Richard" is from the First Name field, the Middle Name and Family Name fields are blank, and "of England" is from the Alternative Names field). However, the closest to that I can get using the options available is "King Richard {=III} of England"... and to be honest, I don't even understand why the curly braces and equals sign would be in there in the first place, unless that's a standard naming convention I'm not familiar with. If necessary, I can edit them all manually, but that seems to be unnecessarily time-consuming. Unsure

Apart from this issue, I'm still loving this program; even more now that I have started to make use of a few more of its features, such as the borders and backgrounds for individuals. BigGrin:

Thanks to anyone who can suggest a workaround for this, and thanks to GenoPro for the great software! w00t
