There is some irony here.  I have used GenoPro for years using it "free"and really liking the program.  Felt a little guilty so bought it this week.  NOW I have to run it as Administrator, the whole window comes zoomed in and I can't figure out how to turn the zoom off and I can only work on my husband's family tree - mine will not load. A tech at a local computer store suggested I uninstall and reinstall which did nothing. Suggestions and/or explanations would be appreciated.

I really have no idea what is going on...  I have the feeling there may be a virus on your computer causing GenoPro to behave in a way it never did.  I am curious, do you have another computer (perhaps at work, or a friend's computer) where you may install GenoPro and try your registration key.  I am sure it will work.

You got it!.  I downloaded GenoPro onto our laptop and transferred my files and everything is working perfectly.  Guess I will have to have a tech look at my desktop.

Thanks.

Well, I did as you asked and, yes, the GenoPro program works on both our laptop and my husband's desktop SOOO...I took my computer in for a tuneup and no viruses, no malware. The suggestion was made that I reformat the hard drive and reinstall Windows along with all my programs.  Uhuh, guess I'll use the laptop for GenoPro.

I am very curious to know what was the reason why GenoPro could not install on your desktop.  Again, I cannot recall having see this type of error, and GenoPro has been installed on several million machines.  Another possibility is a disk problem where the registry has been corrupted, thus preventing GenoPro from updating the registry to record the registration key.

Have you experienced unusual events on your desktop when running other programs?
