Hi. I have been using GenoPro for many
years
and would not be without it. However the
Problem Spotter
is causing me some confusion.
My
family
is a large one and I have often found it necessary to create an
internal hyperlink
to a new
GenoMap
for a particular
individual
. This always results in the individual appearing twice in the Individuals table, with each entry having its own distinct (and different) permanent id. In some cases, these individuals appear in the Problem Spotter with the message "Two
Pedigree
Links are connecting the same individual with his/her family". This is not the case for the rest, even though the procedure followed has been the same and the resulting duplication in the Individuals Table is also the same.
Can you suggest how I can stop the apparently false error messages appearing in the Problem Spotter?
Is there any way to turn the Problem Spotter off?
Many thanks

Thank you for reporting the issue. This problem is a known problem
http://support.genopro.com/FindPost35236.aspx
and will be fixed in GenoProX.
You may turn off the Problem Spotter from the
Options
dialog from the
Tools
menu (it is the second checkbox).

Many thanks. I am not familiar with
GenoProX
but will keep my eyes open.
On looking at the link you gave me to
http://support.genopro.com/Topic35210.aspx#bm35236
I saw that, on 21 July 2015, GenoPro's Legendary Master said that he had fixed the problem in version 2.9.0.6 by inserting a new column in the Problem Spotter. I am running version 3.0.0.7 but there is no such column there.
