I was working on my genogram, and did not leave enough room for my grandfather's family when I added my grandmother's family because part of my wife's family was already added. How can I "grab" my wife's family and move them as a "block" in order to move my grandfather to the left and then have room to add his family? I hope this makes sense.  Can I outline a "section" of the genogram and move the entire section without disturbing all of the spacing and links?

If you select a person and then right click, a menu opens. Scroll down to Select and hover here to show a sub-menu. Here either select 'Select Descendant Tree' or 'Select Direct Descandants' to create a block that can be dragged around.
If you look at this last menu you will see that a menu icon is shown against all options. So a quicker method to obtain a block is to select a person and then click a menu icon

Wow, that's super useful!!

I've been individually selecting people and the connecting links for years.

Is there a way to move the individual or the group "precisely" (i.e. by increment of 1 pixel or 5 pixel) via the keyboard rather than mouse dragging ?

Alternatively, is there a way to edit the xposition and yposition attribute by typing in a table, rather than by manually moving via mouse ?

It would really help reduce the formatting time.

One way to edit the x and y values is to export the .gno to xml format and edit the 'Position' elements in that, but obviously a bit tricky to find the the values to be changed in a large file.

Potentially the .xml file could be processed to perform a 'snap to grid' operation.

Yes, I ended up doing that.
I downloaded notepad++ and extracted the XML file by renaming the *.gno to *.zip

Then I searched for </Position> and manually changed each line.
It works, but it is only slightly faster than moving each individual with the mouse.

If GenoPro X ever sees the light, I really hope it will have the possibility of typing the xposition or yposition once and changing it for all the selected items.
