I have had success generating generational reports for years. It has been some months since I last used the feature and now there is nothing familiar about the process and nothing I try results in success. What do I need to do? HELP please

What exactly are you trying to do? Which report and options did you select?
Maybe we can guide you step by step or redirect you to some on-line information.
What about first installing the latest version of the GenoPro software and report skins?

I have installed the most recent version 2.5.4.1
When I use the Report Generator on the family tree page which then brings up the box to show the following information (The file name is Irma Suderman Joseph Schwartz
Destination Folder: C:\Users\tedDocuments\GenoProReports\IrmaSuderman
Report Data Source: Generate Report on whole document Irma Suderman Joseph Schawartz
Report Skin
Skin Name \Customized English Narrative Report\* (English Narrative Report) EN
I Then 'press' generate which shows the page titled: Report with two headings Most Popular Family names and Most Popular Places
Can you help me?

Which skin are you using? Narrative or Descendant....
Problems often occur if you have not downloaded the latest version for the latest version of the program. The ones bundled with the program need to be updated

I changed it to decendant but it still does not produce a report. I completely gave up on the process and transferred the tree in question to Family Tree maker and without any problems whatever produced the generational report. I think this is it for me with Geno Pro. If I have a problem with Family Tree Maker I can actually call someone and they will walk you thro the problem. That is not even an option with GenoPro!! Thanks evryone for your help

I have down loaded the Narrative_2014.04.10 and pointed to it under options..
But still get the error.
What is the deal?

I did it....and same problem
No you didn't. The line
Base skin version from Config.xml:2011.02.04
indicates that you are still running the built in Narrative Report and not the updated one at the link provided. Please follow the instructions carefully. http://support.genopro.com/Topic30691.aspx
I have deleted you last post as it appears to corrupt the page! If you want to provide files then perhaps it would be better as attachments and not pasted inline.

I did ask that you follow the instructions CAREFULLY. If you did this you should have seen:
** N.B. Please note the the folder you specify here is NOT the skins folder given above but a folder BELOW it. 
But despite this instruction you have unpacked the new skin directly into your skins folder and not a folder below it. PLEASE unzip into a folder below your skins folder e.g 'Latest Narrative Report' The instruction also says: When you next launch the GenoPro Generate Report dialog, then your new skin should be available in the drop down list.
Yet you choose the built-in report, as the updated one was not installed in the right way.
Many users seem to have a problem with this and I would dearly love to know how I should word my instructions to make this any clearer.I am sorry if this is a little terse, but I fail to understand how so many get confused by the insructions.

If you have the same problem, or any issue with the Narrative Report, then you should follow the same advice and install the latest Narrative Report skin template. If you do this correctly the Report Log will show the latest version, currently 2014.08.14. If you do not see this version number then read all instructions again!
