I think GenoPro can have an option to link to a relative path, by splitting the picture path with the base path of the report, thus producing a relative picture path. This will require some testing, however I am confident I can do it.

OK, until there is a better solution I will tackle it as follows: After running the Irfanview batch conversion I will rename the pictures folder to say web_pictures and allow the subsequent reports to recreate pictures. I will then manually overwrite pictures with web_pictures before publishing to the web.

[...]could there be just one option that causes images to be linked to pre-existing files wherever they are, that location being specified by the _pathpictures parameter? If you specify a full path (eg: c:\my pictures\) to parameter _PathPictures, then GenoPro will link to the images on that folder rather than making a copy of those images. Of course this may be a problem if you have multiple .gno files, each using a different folder for their pictures. In such a case, you have to tweak the _PathPictures each time you generate a report for a different .gno file. I unserstand specifying a full path to parameter _PathPictures is not the best solution... I am thinking of something better.

The present Report Generator 'Options' tab allows linking to images in an absolute path for local (c:\..) and web server http:// or network path \\server\.. rather than being copied to that location. I would like to be able to link to pre-existing photos in a relative path e.g. the default pictures/ or say ../../photos/. This is for two reasons. Firstly I generally want to prepare the photos for Web access. I therefore run a GenoPro report generation that collects the photos into one folder, i.e. pictures/ . I then run Irfanview in batch mode on that folder to resize the photos and change jpeg compression to make then suitable for Web access. Having done this once I don't want to run Irfanview again when I next run the report after modifying the data (not photos). Secondly I want my photos in a relative path rather than an absolute one so that I can easily migrate it from local disc to Web server without changes. So rather than the present three check boxes in the Report Generator Options tab could there be just one that causes images to be linked to pre-existing files wherever they are, that location being specified by the _pathpictures parameter? Or failing that have a fourth checkbox for relative path?
