If you make a copy the skin "English" to another folder, GenoPro will not overwrite it. We plan to keep the places sorted by most popular first, as it is more meaningful than sorting them alphabetically.

Except when a new software revision overrides the old one!

I am quite satisfied with the sorting of places it was, so if you want to have it sorted another way, I think you should change it in your own skin. Once it is done you do not have to do it again.

Hi. I did the change you mentioned and it works fine. However my further question is: do you intend to implement this change within the next software release or do we have to manually modify the file in question every time after each release? Thank you.

Your original question does not mention the word report anywhere. If you have a question about the report generator, you should post it in the proper section. I moved your post to the "Report Generator" section to give a hint to the reader your question is related to the report generator rather than some other feature of GenoPro.My wish is simply to have all the places sorted alphabetically within the report You can change it in the template. Open the file "toc_places.htm" and replace line 19 | Places.SortBy("-Dependents.Count") ' Sort by most popular place |
by | Places.SortBy("Name") ' Sort by place name |

Hi. Actually I previously did what you said but the generation report doesn't take it into account. Instead the sorting is done, for the report, based on the quantities of occurences of each place (the count). In my report for example, I end up with a lot of places, occuring only once (count=1) in my tree but not alphabetically ordered. My wish is simply to have all the places sorted alphabetically within the report (when you click on the world map icon) preferably disregarding the present count sorting. I hope my explanation is clear now. Thank you.

Can you provide this sorting option, perhaps in addition to the existing count sorting? Thanks. You can Enter View > Table layout - Places and Locations > Sort by place name. Is that what you wanted?
