Hi, Please first let me say that I have FINALLY found the Geneology program I have been looking for. Thank you.I am using 2.b16f. My problem is that I have a married couple in one genomap. I move the male and all decendants to another genomap. I then select the female and make a hyperlink to the new genomap. The female appears on the new map. I select the female then select "Link as Mate / Link as Spouse". No relationship line is drawn. and the hyperlinked female is not included when autoarranging. Please note that the line IS drawn using "Link as Child" Many thanks Stu

I think I understand what you did. You had Amy Timmers in the GenoMap Timmers, and decided to "move" her to GenoMap Kehoe. After the move, GenoPro kept the parent pedigree link in GenoMap Timmers (see the red dotted line). GenoPro should have also moved the parent pedigree link to GenoMap Kehoe. I have marked this as a bug and will eventually fix it.If you delete Amy Timmers from GenoMap Timmers, you will see the pedigree link appear in GenoMap Kehoe. Of course this is not the solution since you want Amy to appear in both Genomaps. Solution: The easiest method is to re-create the missing parent link. Select Amy in the GenoMap Kehoe, right-click and pick Link as Parent. Move the mouse over the horizontal bar between her and Steve, to indicate Amy is a parent of this family. The vertical parent link in circle 3 will appear and everything will be fine.

I dont wish to be a spoil-sport but:If you have a work around for the same problem but different person, it would be a great help. Using the same source - as before, In map Mason, Marcia Timmers is linked to map Timmers linked as a child. All looks good. Marcia is also linked to map Crandall, and is the divorced wife of Randy. Selecting Marcia and 'link as parent', the relationship line will not highlight so it can be linked. Many thanks

Keasoft (6/21/2006) Marcia is also linked to map Crandall, and is the divorced wife of Randy. Selecting Marcia and 'link as parent', the relationship line will not highlight so it can be linked. This is quite interesting. I think you have found a bug. I presume you want to do the following:
If this is the case, do the following steps: 1. Press Ctrl+A to select all the objects. 2. Press the key G to snap to grid. Somehow the horizontal line representing the family between Randy and Marcia is located at a coordinate where the mouse cannot hover it. This is a bug that must be fixed. 3. Select Marcia, right click to get the context menu and select Link as Parent. 4. Move the mouse over the horizontal line (m. 29-May-1976) and you should get what is displayed above.

I have fixed the bug. In the future, the pedigree links will be 'smarter' and pick the best GenoMap when hyperlinked individuals are moved from one GenoMap to another GenoMap.
