I hope somebody can help me in solving this mystery.I just created my account on Genopro server and uploaded my files. I then created a shorcut of my site address and placed it into my favorite folder. The URL in the shortcut is that one: http://familytrees.genopro.com/jcguasp/default.htm When I click on the shortcut, MSIE start and load that: which is, as you can see, not the default page. And everytime I click on the shortcut, I get exactly the same display, e.g. always this same individual and always the SVG pane open. On the other hand, when I start MSIE and type (or paste) the above URL, I get the true full correct home default page. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Yes I know it's OK when I type the address in MSIE, as you did, but not when I use the shortcut. That's the mystery point. Look at the address on my screenshot. It is the correct default page. It is also the correct default page shown in the shortcut properties. I even deleted the shortcut, made a new one: same story. I think the Genopro site is OK. It's rather a problem with my system. Very weird I'm telling you. Thanks anyway

I didn't type anything, I just clicked on your link above and IE opened at your default page at the first try, I did it several times to check and each time it opened correctly so the problem is not with your link on this page as it works perfectly, but perhaps with your browser. I also noticed that the address remains the same even when you surf amongst the family members as the "default.html" is the host frame for the other pages and remains open which is why the address doesn't change

Despite what the properties shows you, if you edit the url shortcut, it 'remembers' a lot more, ie where you were on the web site. This is thanks to MS and is a bug / feature depending on who you bat for.[DEFAULT] BASEURL=http://familytrees.genopro.com/jcguasp/default.htm [DOC_outer#8] BASEURL=http://familytrees.genopro.com/jcguasp/heading.htm ORIGURL=http://familytrees.genopro.com/jcguasp/heading.htm [DOC_outer_lower#10] BASEURL=http://familytrees.genopro.com/jcguasp/toc_individuals.htm ORIGURL=http://familytrees.genopro.com/jcguasp/toc_individuals.htm [DOC_outer_lower_rhs#12] BASEURL=http://familytrees.genopro.com/jcguasp/Creton-Laurent-ind00118.htm ORIGURL=http://familytrees.genopro.com/jcguasp/Brulport-Aurelie-ind00099.htm [DOC_outer_lower_rhs_map] BASEURL=http://familytrees.genopro.com/jcguasp/genomaps/genomap5.htm?x=200,y=-30,highlight=true [InternetShortcut] URL=http://familytrees.genopro.com/jcguasp/default.htm Modified=1079FBDEE999C601AB
