Hi,

I am having a problen understanding why the vertical bars are sometimes missing between the marriage connector and the sibling connector. When the bar is missing, the automatic layout does not seem to work as it should.

The following example is from the report http://familytrees.genopro.com/keasoft/ourfamily/.

In the above, you can see that the marriage line of Ralph and Megan has a vertical bar connecting to the sibling line. However, marriage line and sibling line of Stuart and Margaret are overlaid, (appear as one).

This can be manually fixed by pulling down the sibling line, as below, but it is lost again it an automatic layout is performed.

This leads to the auto layout issue I have. If you add a new son and a new daughter to the marriage of Stuart & Marcia the layout becomes almost impossible to follow as the connectiones are directly over the connections between Rex and Patricia, as below.

I hope this leads somewhere. Its just that The folks I have who say "Wow! I didnt know that" all say it because of the clarity you Genomaps bring.

Regards
