Is there a problem here? I have checked that the skin that I used was created when I generated the report - using 2.17d. I clicked ' Edit Skin' which opened the directory GenoPro Beta217. This contains the .exe file dated 31/07. I renamed the skin to 'English Narrative Report sorted' and then edited the file as suggested. So if this is an old skin, it came out of 2.17d To ensure you use the skin that is packaged with a particular version of GenoPro, make sure that the skin named English Narrative Report {EN} is selected in the Skin name box of the Generate Report window. To create a custom version of this report, 1st make sure you have deleted or renamed any folders named 'Customized Engish Narrative Report' under the Skins folder, and then click 'Edit Skin' or 'New Skin'. This will create the folder 'Customized Engish Narrative Report' and you can then edit the files in it. Clicking 'Edit Skin' when another folder is selected in the Skin name box will simply open that folder, it will not copy the files from within GenoPro.

I just made a silent update of Beta 17d. If you download it again, you should get the new sorting...

Yes I will pass this on to Dan to go in the next version, although I have looked back and cannot see it was ever there before. As an aside I guess you are aware that your report Sussexsteers, although generated by GenoPro Beta 17d, uses a skin template from an earlier release.

Yes this does sort by date (of course). I have not put this onto Familytrees yet as the changes are minor. However I hope this will be added to the standard report again. Look at any of the names on the Sussexsteers to see what the existing version produces

There has been no change in the order as far as I know, however a simple change should fix it.Change line 61 of Init.htm Set collectionIndividuals = Individuals.SortBy("Name.Last, Name.Last2, Name.First, Name.Middle) to Set collectionIndividuals = Individuals.SortBy("Name.Last, Name.Last2, Name.First, Name.Middle, birth.date")

I have just regenerated a report at http://familytrees.genopro.com/appleshaw/SussexSteers/ If you look at a group of names, such as James Steer, they mostly have a dob but they are not sorted by this. I thought in earlier versions this was the sort order. Is there some control of this tucked away somewhere?
