Thanks for the advise - Key V is a new one for me.
What I do not understand is the description (Move family to this Genomap). Key V do only the selection - therefore why "Move family..."? It does not sounds logical.
I have just tried this and wish I had known about this earlier as it is much easier to use than my old efforts. but I still have another 90% to do !
Select one individual you want to start and move it to another GenoMap. Then, use the keyboard key V (Move Family to this GenoMap) to bring his/her spouse and children. Repeat as necessary until you are satisfied with the imported data.
Copy & Paste the tree into your master .gno file.
I got from my friend a GEDCOM file with more then 14,000 indivuduals and I would like to work with this database and use part of it into my one. When I import GEDCOm file after while I can see really big mess (autoarange, not easy task...). How to work with the database now? Is it only way to use table/list wiev and search option? Graphical interface is not usefull now... Or is there some other way how to display the "mess" corectly?
Thank you for your advise
