GenoPro is not new for me but now I'm not sure how to import retrieved data.I got from my friend a GEDCOM file with more then 14,000 indivuduals and I would like to work with this database and use part of it into my one. When I import GEDCOm file after while I can see really big mess (autoarange, not easy task...). How to work with the database now? Is it only way to use table/list wiev and search option? Graphical interface is not usefull now... Or is there some other way how to display the "mess" corectly? Thank you for your advise

My recommendation is to open this Gedcom file in a separate file. By default, GenoPro will do a Trivial AutoArrange which will sort the names alphabetically.Select one individual you want to start and move it to another GenoMap. Then, use the keyboard key V (Move Family to this GenoMap) to bring his/her spouse and children. Repeat as necessary until you are satisfied with the imported data. Copy & Paste the tree into your master .gno file.

GenoProSupport (8/6/2006) Select one individual you want to start and move it to another GenoMap. Then, use the keyboard key V (Move Family to this GenoMap) to bring his/her spouse and children. Repeat as necessary until you are satisfied with the imported data. Thanks for the advise - Key V is a new one for me. What I do not understand is the description (Move family to this Genomap). Key V do only the selection - therefore why "Move family..."? It does not sounds logical.
