Also if you mark an adopted or foster child as Exclude from report, the child is excluded from almost all the report, but not in the family section.This wasn't there before beta19f (I hope it could be useful) Hugo

We plan to write a ProblemSpotter to report errors, such as hidden pedigree links or duplicate links. Perhaps this will help troubleshooting.

very odd this one Thanks for checking Ron. Yes, I have been able to duplicate the bug. Create two people as partners, give them an adopted child, then using 'move to genomap' copy the adopted child to new genomap. The child is then reported on the English Narrative skin as being both biological and adopted. But surely I am not the only person with this issue? Hope this helps.

Yes very odd this one. If you open your file with GenoPro and look at the children of Gary & Jennifer under the Summary tab of Family properties, Catherine is not shown as an adopted child (the 'IsAdopted' column is blank) when clearly she is. I am not sure what happens in this case when the objects are presented to the Report Generator. Maybe Catherine is there twice. Perhaps Dan can take a look or has some idea.....? As yet I can't see what is wrong from looking at the .xml (Thanks appleshaw for the easier option to generate this file)Update: Work-around: delete Catherine's pedigree link on GenoMap1. Then delete her hyperlink on that map as well. On GenoMap 2 , right click and move catherine to GenoMap1, link as child, change link back to 'adopted' and all is Ok! Have no idea why

Hi Ron,I have been trying to send this file to you privately, but the "edit attachments" does not work on private messages. I have simplified the example above to two genomaps and saved to the enclosed file. I cannot find any errors in the file or hidden links, but continue to get the error unless I delete the hyperlink. I would be grateful if you could find some time to look at it for me. Thank you very much

You may have a hidden pedigree link between two genomaps. Try temporarily moving Catherine from her birth family back to near her adoptive family and see if a pedigree link magically appears. Another sure way of detecting this is to examine the PedigreeLinks for Catherine in the xml file (i.e. extract from .gno with WinZip) by looking for PedigreeLinks with her id.

She is hyperlinked to her birth Mother in the following 
Yet on the report of her adopting parents it reads as follows 
Catherine has been included TWICE, once as biological daughter, once as adopted daughter. On her Birth Mother's report she is corrctly recorded. I also note that when we look at the individual report of Catherine, there is no reference to her adopting parents.

I am puzzled by this because I cannot reproduce the problem. When I tried families f1 & f2 in the genogram below, the report was correct, so I tried with hyperlinks, families f3 & f4.
I did find a different problem in the narrative for the adopted children in that their full siblings did not appear and his half-sister was not included in the count.
Update: A further thought on this issue. I believe siblings should be reported as half-siblings, not adopted. However the report for d3 shows her siblings as adopted not half-siblings. However for s1 as above d3 is reported as a half-sister. The GenoPro properties of the individuals also show this discrepancy (family tab). I.e. adoption takes precedence over half-siblings.
Thanks Ron for looking into this. Due to this found a small problem on myside with overlapping pedigree links, thus reporting children twice.
It leaves us now with the issues as reported by you.
