Beta 20d is the final beta, unless there is a MAJOR BUG. No more tag changes!

poolzone (12/2/2006)
1.Updated to v2beta20b 2.Added one member 3. Accidentally loaded old version of file from backups, and then closed same. This is probably something like that, because when GenoPro imports from a version prior Beta20b, it automatically adds the transparency if a border is present. I assume it has something to do with the last item. I don't know why the error OkFileExist appear. This "error" means there is already a filename to the account, and the user has the option to overwrite/update or send the file under a different filename. I forwarded your email to my brother. He looked at the logs and everything appear correct. I tried to reproduce the error but was unable to. The important thing is I got the file you sent me. 2. Why do we not get this same dialog for all members when we press enter on the Genomap? Without your help I would have never found it. The Enter key is a shortcut to bring the properties of the selected object(s).

Note to self.......make a cup of coffee, double check the results of the Fix.......make double sure, and then report.Unfortunately the Fix for All individuals did not work. The fix only affected the Genomap which was in view, although all members were selected in the Table. I have however found the following. Ctr T = select table Ctr A = select all rows in table Enter = select all ON CURRENT GENOMAP ONLY I right clicked on selected table row and proceeded, with desired result. All fixed now, Thanks.

The transparency will removed from the 10,000+ individuals from your family treeDone! Thank you. I have no idea how this came about. The following three things have happened that might contribute to it 1.Updated to v2beta20b 2.Added one member 3. Accidentally loaded old version of file from backups, and then closed same. I assume it has something to do with the last item. 1. Now this asks two more questions.......why the errors on "send file"? 2. Why do we not get this same dialog for all members when we press enter on the Genomap? Without your help I would have never found it. Thank you for your assistance. As always you are prompt, courteous and knowledgeable.

I got your file. I wonder why you got this transparency because a normal "upgrade path" would make the text appear normal. Here what to do:1. Go to the Table Layout (Ctrl+T). 2. Press Ctrl+A to select all rows. This will select all the individuals of all the GenoMaps. 3. Press Enter to bring the properties of all selected objects, or click on the Properties icon. 4. In the Display tab, uncheck the checkbox Transparent text for labels. 5. Voilà. The transparency will removed from the 10,000+ individuals from your family tree.

Please send me your file I would like to , but you have removed "edit attachments" from your email, your PM does not work, and "send file" continually reports that I have not received a response from the server...ie been disconnected, which is not true. Perhaps you can advise a system that will work, thanks.

Perhaps GenoPro should automatically tick the "transparent text" when there is a border. It appears that this..... is the result on all of my 750 genomaps. I think it an undesirable result and can see no way of fixing it other than entering 750 genomaps and manually changing the setting from "transparent text for labels". Is there any better way? Shouldn't this default be available under "file properties"?

Thanks for that. It took me some time to sort it out, because I had to clear the cache in FireFox before it noticed that a different file with the same name was being used.

appleshaw (12/1/2006) Previously reports had a grey mottled background but now they are a plain pale yellow. In your customized report, locate the subfolder named Images . You should see a file named Background.jpg and Background.jpg.bak or Background.bak.jpg. Just rename the .bak file to Background.jpg and you will have your old background. I have received many suggestions for background images/textures. I may create a page for this where users can download the background image of their choice.
