I am using GenoPro Beta version 2.b20d.

I exported my file to GEDCOM format, then converted the GEDCOM format to html. In reviewing my particular details in the software, I am personally alive (hahahaha). However, when the pages upload to my website, I am reported as "no longer alive"!!!!!!!!!

I am hoping that this is a bug that can be quickly resolved.... rather than a prophesy!!!! Hahahahaha

Can you send me a sample .ged file?  I will take a look at it.  It may be a bug in the Gedcom Import module or in the Report Generator.

Sent you the file....
...In tinkering, I have found the following anomalies:

Having greated the GED file, going to Tools,

1) When I click "Generate report" and I choose the web publishing button and send the files directly to my FTP site, the files upload such that I show up alive on the web.

2) When, however, I click "Convert GEDCOM to HTML" and when I upload the files to the FTP site, I appear to have died on thw web.

Another couple of interesting points:

A) When I choose option 1 above, there are typically errors, where some htm files can't be read or written.

B) There are never any errors reported (good), but in the window that comes up, the "Privacy" and "Document" tabs don't appear. Consequently, the title reverts back to the default, rather than a title of my choosing.

Thanks,
Jack

Your Gedcom file contains 4 "John Cheney", and all of them are dead.  I checked both your .gno and .ged file and they are all marked as deceased.  The report generator generates a report on the data.  See a screenshot of the Table Layout of your family tree:

How odd!!

In my GNO file, I have three John (Jack) Cheneys listed (ID #s: 3,74 & 142). All of them under the "View Individuals" table show me without the check box as deceased.... Hmmmm.....

Anyway, As mentioned in my previous post, I uploaded using the "generate Report" command, rather than the "Convert GEDCOM to HTML" command, and everything is now fine.

Thanks.
Jack
