The interim solution until a revised release is available is to change Lang.vbs in a customized skin as follows:

change lines 1139-1141 from
   For Each pic in p.Pictures
    Report.WriteBr "<img src='images/space.gif' width='16' alt=''/>" & StrHtmlImgPhoto(pic)
   Next
to
   Report.WriteLn "<ul>"
   For Each pic in p.Pictures
    Report.WriteBr StrHtmlImgPhoto(pic)
   Next
   Report.WriteLn "</ul>"

The attached gif images for and can also be copied to the skin's images folder.

I am investigating this. It only seems to occur with IE, which is perhaps why I had not noticed it before. Whilst testing I also noticed that I have not included the gif icons for education

and occupation

list items.

In the left pane Place Pictures list, each place 1st photo is shown on the right side of the place name instead being shown under the place name:
