The
family tree
I am working on has become very complex and it has proved best to separate the various constituent
families
into
individual
GenoMaps
. When
generating a report
in respect of an individual GenoMap, the report correctly lists under "Most Popular Family Names" only those names used in the relevant GenoMap but under "Most Popular
Places
" it lists all places used throughout the whole document Family Tree whether used in that individual GenoMap or not. I suspect that this is a bug in the Report Generator. Is there a fix?

The algorithm to delete unused object (places,
pictures
,
sources
& citations) needs to be completely redone. At the moment GenoPro considers an object as orphan (stray) if it has no references, however there are cases of a circular references where those objects should be deleted but are not deleted. This is often the case when generating a report for a single GenoMap.
For instance, an object such as a place having a picture is not be deleted if the place
includes its picture
. If both the place and the pictures are not used anywhere, those objects should be deleted, however the current code does not handle this scenario. I don't want to touch this code now because the impacts of creating a bug can be quite serious. A small bug in the code could delete valid pictures, places, sources. I will revise this code on the next "
Beta
" (aka Gamma).
