One problem here is that the UK GRO system would not be applicable elsewhere. Even within this system you need the full
reference
, including date, as the volume numbers are different in the earlier records.
With older data I
find
the easiest thing is to paste the FreeBMD reference into a Comment field. With modern records you often have access to the originals.
You can rename (in
Tag Editor
) the existing Custom Tags for
Family
as District_Name etc. Problem here is Ron mentioned recently that the
Report Generator
does not deal with Custom Tags at presesnt

You can use a Source citation to hold this
information
e.g. in the 'Where In Source' field. You can set the parent Source to be say 'GRO Index' or FreeBMD etc.
