The
place
hierarchy needs improvement to make it easy to create a parent place. The same applly for
sources
& citations. At the moment, you have to manually create a place you know will be the parent place, and then create another [child] place inheriting from the parent place.

I do not think you can add a location in the table - I have never managed it, although that is no guarantee. I use the normal
individual
property menu for this (you could create a new individual and delete it after making the edit)
Open the
Contact
tab of the individual and create the Parent place (you have to do this here first). Then use the New tab to clear the
Occupancy Place
window, right click and use Pick to
find
the place you want to edit. Then right click again and choose Edit; on the next
page
you can tab to the next window and select the Parent

Am I missing something? How can I add a new location using the Table? Or for that matter, how can I add a new location within the Place Properties (I want to add a parent location)?
