I've been trying GenoPro 2007 out for a little while and, on the whole, I'm impressed but there's something I can't do...

There are certain individuals (and groups) in my Family Tree that I'm not certain about. For example maybe I've only found one record and I'm not 100% sure they're a part of my tree but I've added them in for now.

So, I'd like to be able to somehow mark those people as 'unconfirmed'. The obvious visual way is to 'grey them out' but I can't see how to do this. I assumed I'd just need to got to that entry's properties and select a grey ink rather than black but I can't seem to do this.

Can someone tell me how to do that?

Thanks.

Hi

I suggest the following visual methods - choose whichever suits you.

Go to that individual's properties, choose display and select the appropriate to have the desired effect.

In this, you can draw a box around the individual and choose the color you wish. (Top two checkboxes in the picture are clicked.

-OR-
In this the Gender image will have a mark in one corner. I have selected Top-Right corner and you can choose any that meets your eye.

Also, to have database control, I suggest that you use the custom_tags available and that way, you can even generate a report of all people having similar characteristics you mentioned.

Good Luck!

Thanks, that's helpful but I would like to be able to grey out various parts of the text though.

I have bits of information in some records that I'm not certain of e.g. a persons middle name or age. Greying out a whole record that contains both confirmed and unconfirmed data doesn't really do what I want.

Hi

To my knowledge and exposure it might not be possible. However, if you would like to have the report to show a part in, say italics, I think it is possible. But you need to edit the Report skin and put a "if" clause - assuming you put a '?' character or some other character as a preceding one for your data.

Good luck
