We have many things we want to do with the status bar.  At the moment GenoPro uses the built-in status bar provided by Windows.  The day we write our own status bar, we will start adding those cool feature, including switching files, language, and many more options.

At present the Status bar only seems to display the cursor position and a message when an item is selected. A feature I have found useful in other programs(eg WordPerfect) is to display open files there. This makes switching a one click process, rather than going to Menu/Window
