I have just downloaded the 2.0.1.1 version. In the generates report using the English Narrative Report some individuals are being created with lower case names instead of the upper case names as they are in the GEDCOM file. For example, there were three individuals with the surname Overton instead of OVERTON. This created aseparatee grouping of the surname, OVERTON and Overton. I searched the GEDCOM file for these individuals and they are all upper case. This happens with several other surnames. How do I prevent the program from distinguishing between upper case names and lowercase names?

This is by design, however you are welcome to customize the report skin to remove this feature.  We will post a solution for this.

By the way, why would you want to distinguish those names?  Uppercase and lowercase does not change the name.  If you search using Google, Yahoo, MSN, you will see you always get the same search result whatever you use lowercase or uppercase.  We do the same with our reports.

I don't want to distinquish between the names...the program is for some reason creating some lower case records from an all upper case set. In the example I sighted, there were no lower case names in the GEDCOM file as all are upper case but the report generator created three lower case records out of about 233 records for the OVERTON surname. I repeated the input serveral times and it created the same error each time. What I am saying is that for some reason the report generator is creating an error by taking perfectly good upper case surnames and make a few lower case and reporting the two (upper case and lower case) as different people. There were a lot of surnames impacted and not just the one. This did not happen with the older version.

You are welcome to send your file to Ron, and he will take a look at it.  Ron is away this week and will be back next week.
