Today GenoPro reached the mark of 10 millions characters of C++
source code
with 600 files totalizing 273,000 lines. That is, the development required
at least
10 millions keystrokes. In my estimate, the actual number of keystrokes is
about
10 to 50 times larger, since lines of code are constantly tweaked and regularly deleted during the lifetime of a project. Some modules, such as the
Report Generator
, have been entirely replaced, resulting in the deletion of dozen of files along with the deletion of several ten thousands lines of code.
