To Ron:
I posted this in the general 'bug report' section as the following must be applicable to all languages.
I generated ES (spanish) reports and noticed a different output regarding my Contacts (a web site and an email ad).
I investigated the matter in creating 3 different ES reports, in 3 separate directories, with Genopro language previously set to EN, FR and ES. The directories of the Report generated files being EN-ES, FR-ES and ES-ES respectively (on my HD).
I then compared the 3 dirs and noticed that, besides the GenoproCache.xml files, only the contacts.htm and the toc_contacts.htm files were different.
Seen with my compare util program, the differences in contacts.htm (same basically for toc_contacts.htm) are:

The associated <PhContact> in Dic-ES (from Haep file) is:

<PhContact T="{ }{\U}[{?!5}[{?4}{!4} detalles del contacto:- ]][Teléfono: {0} ][Fax: {1} ][Email: {2h} ][Sitio Web: {3h}]. "/>

The associated entries in the Lang packs are:

EN: ID Email="Email" ID Homepage="Home Page"
FR: ID Email="Courriel" ID Homepage="Site Web"
ES: ID Email="Email" ID Homepage="Página Web"

I hope my explanation is clear enough to correct the sub as, I believe, a report shouldn't be dependant on the Genopro language.
Thank you Ron,
JC

Yesterday I completed a dialog named the Phrase Editor. Coincidentally, this is the screenshot I sent to Ron which is about the PhContact. I think the Phrase Editor will be a great help to customize reports. I have a few more days of work to add other minor features before releasing the last update of GenoPro 2007. GenoPro Gamma will be next, as we already wrote thousand of lines of code for the Gamma version.

The word-for-word translation is simple however it cannot work for all languages.

The approach of using word-for-word mapping may work for French to English translation, however in other languages, we may have to invert parameters and add other little words to respect the grammar issues... The Phrase Generator is our best solution for translating phrases in a foreign language.

The Phrase Editor tool is an addition to help writing complex phrases. We plan to improve our phrase generator in the future, however at the moment, this is the best we can offer.

Hi, cool, I am looking forward to use this for Hungarian Smile. Is it also possible to split phrases to several phrases? I have found, that in some cases (around line 1200) it is better to create four-five different sentences out of one.

btw, will this tool share the enumeration translations (thus no double translation for the report and the application itself will be necessaryw00t

I generated ES (spanish) reports and noticed a different output regarding my Contacts (a web site and an email ad).

I believe the problem here is not with the PhContacts phrase in the Dictionary but with the Contact.Summary property generated internally by GenoPro. This will include the GenoPro language versions for the words Telephone, Email, Fax and Home Page. The solution is not to use this Contact Summary property but to generate a similar string within the Report script using Dictionary entries for these words. I will include this in my next update.

The tag value for Contract.Summary is synthesized by GenoPro to display "something" about the contact. To generate a nice report it is best to use a phrase with the original tag values.
