If you have a desktop shortcut named "Notepad", Windows will have a problem. I got this problem once, as I was unable to view the source code of an HTML page. The trick is to rename the shortcut, say "Notepad_" so Windows can launch the proper executable - Notepad.exe. Edited: Monday, January 7, 2008 by GenoProSupport

It is possible your installation of Windows Scripting is corrupt. You could try downloading the Windows scripting package from Microsoft and re-install. If you can send me (via File/Send feature on GenoPro's Menu bar) a sample .gno file that results in invalid adoptions in the .ged I will investigate. Forum Member Customers GenoPro version: 3.1.0.1 Last Login: Wednesday, February 21, 2024 Posts: 27, Visits: 106	When I use the report generator and choose report skin Export to Gedcom (EN), it appears the Gedcom file is generated, but I receive the following message: Error at line 217, position 2 (Gedcom.js): 8007007F When I use a reporting program such as the Complete Genealogy Reporter, it appears that there are no issues with the file; however, adoptions appear to be handled incorrectly. Even this, however, is inconsistent, as some adoptions are correct while others are not. Can't place my finger on it. Regards, Tony Favata
