How can I take a large file of more than 5000
individuals
, with copious demographic data, and copious notes on each individual, and
print
the file, prefereably in alphabetical order.

Sounds like a lot of
trees
involved here.
Two main
options
. In the
Table Layout
, sort the column the way you want the names to be displayed and then copy it to a spreadsheet and print from there (you could of course sort within the spreadsheet)
Alternatively use the
Report
Writer and select the English Narrative Skin and export as a file for Open Office or Word. Sort it there again if not what you want
