Hi there,

I don't know if I am the right section of the forum.

I was wondering if there is printed or downloadable manual. I feel a stand alone manual is easier to work with than an online help manual.

Also does GenoPro have the ability to recognise same gender relationships, and children of the relationship.?

Thanks

Ian Bell

GenoPro does not have a printable document for help, however everything is available online at http://www.genopro.com/help/

As for same-gender relationships, GenoPro have no problem with this:  Same-sex relationships can be easily added. Simply double-click on the second mate and change his/her gender.

I am still not sure how to split database. On the attachment to this post, I want to shift the descendants of the circled couple to the "BELL" tag on the next Genopro tag at the bottom of the attachment. I hope I have explained properly what I want.

I only have about 24 hrs left on the trial key   (UMMM would it be possible to extend the trial key for another 14 days, PLEASE?)

Hoping someone can PLEASE help!

Thanks Jean-Claude for the extra 14 days. Much appreciated. At the moment it's between GenoPro and Legacy 6. If I can work out how to split the the database as in the previous post then I think GenoPro will win out. Smile

Hoping someone can answer re splitting the database with the example above.

Thanks again

Using the search facility here I found this link
http://support.genopro.com/Topic15797-63-1.aspx?Highlight=move+genomap

However starting with your present task: drag and select the individuals you want to move; right click the selection; click on the tree icon in the drop down menu to open list of GenoMaps; choose the destination. Job Done

There is also a video showing how to split a family tree into multiple GenoMaps:

Hi there, AGAIN!!!

I followed the instructions on the video, except I clicked on the "Direct Descendants" button, this worked fine EXCEPT that it didn't transfer the partners(Spouses). Consequently I have genograms with the descendants listed as married, BUT no partners AngryCrying. What am I doing wrong. I am starting to get a bit disillousned (is that the correct spelling:unsureSmile I thought the program may be what I wanted, but I'm not so sure now.

Could I send you the GEDCOM file and details of what I want to do? An email address would be appreciated as I don't want to put the details in this forum at this stage.

Any more help would be appreciated. BTW the GEDCOM file has about 3700+ plus records which include blanks in between records, for future use, although if I can get the program to do what I want, most of them will be renumbered in the separate family trees. As an example one tree has about 1500+ names and another only 40. (Some names appear in more than family tree)

I think I've rambled enough ATM

Thanks

Ian Bell
