My approach is to print the genogram to a virtual PDF Printer Driver and thus produce a PDF file. The great advantage of these is that they scale well so if you do have 500 individuals on the page you can zoom in nicely. Most folk have Adobe Reader on their PC (whether they know it or not) so they don't have to install another program.

There are a number of PDF Drivers available - PDFCreator which can be downloaded from Sourceforge is free and does a good job. For ease of use and control Visage PDF Expert which can be found from time to time on magazine cover disks is very good.

You can export to a metafile which is a vector-based graphic representation of the genogram.  The other alternative is to generate a report which will include an SVG representation of the genogram.

The simplest solution is to download and install GenoPro.  A user can view and print genograms without a registration key.  You need a registration key only if you wish to save genograms larger than 25 individuals.

Is there a way to save the genogram in a different format to enable people/family without this software to view my genogram?  Or is there another way for them to view it?
